Message from General Manager Isabelle Brochu

This year marks an important moment in the history of CAEHYR. As we celebrated our 40th anniversary, we had the opportunity to take stock of how far we’ve come since 1985, and above all, how our mission remains more relevant than ever.

In an economic climate tinged with uncertainty, rapid change and new business challenges, our region’s entrepreneurs have once again demonstrated their resilience, creativity and ability to adapt. Behind every project, every financing and every success, there are above all passionate human beings who dare to move forward, innovate and build the future of our region.

Over the past year, CAEHYR achieved record results, with nearly $2.8 million invested in 48 companies, generating more than $11 million in investments in our territory. We also continued to provide local support to entrepreneurs at every stage of their development, whether they are starting up, growing, transferring or taking over a business.

Entrepreneurship remains an important priority for our organization. With the launch of the Fonds Relève +, the development of new specialized tools and the upgrading of our team, we aim to actively contribute to the sustainability of local businesses and the maintenance of their wealth in our community.

We are also particularly proud to have taken up the torch of initiatives aimed at stimulating youth entrepreneurship, notably with the first edition of the Tournoi des entrepreneurs de l’avenir, which reached out to hundreds of young people in our region. Inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs and giving them a taste for daring is an integral part of our regional development vision.

The year was also marked by a number of fruitful collaborations with our local partners. More than ever, we believe that economic development requires concerted action, complementarity and the creation of lasting links between organizations, entrepreneurs and community players.

I would like to sincerely thank our team, our Board of Directors, our Investment Committee, our partners and all the entrepreneurs who place their trust in us. Your commitment, your passion and your audacity give meaning to our mission.

As we embark on the next few years with an ambitious new strategic plan, we’ll continue to be present, accessible and committed to helping entrepreneurs in Haute-Yamaska, Brome-Missisquoi and Rouville develop promising, sustainable projects.

Because beyond the numbers, it’s people who remain at the heart of success.
