Granby, May 27, 2026 – The Centre d’aide aux entreprises Haute-Yamaska et région (CAEHYR) unveiled the results of a record year marked by sustained growth, at a gathering Wednesday at Bistro M, attended by elected officials, partners and local entrepreneurs.
The CAEHYR team was proud to present the highlights of its annual report, in particular its positioning in the field of entrepreneurship in a context where business transfers are becoming increasingly important. In an economic climate marked by uncertainty, the support and financing offered by CAEHYR have proved more essential than ever in sustaining the region’s entrepreneurs.
Major spinoffs for the entrepreneurial community
The annual report shows a marked increase in investments made by the organization, up 20% on the previous year. A total of nearly $2.8 million was granted in the form of loans, non-repayable contributions and local development projects to 48 companies, compared with $2.3 million granted to 46 companies last year.
“We offer a set of essential tools to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. From idea to realization, and then to success, the entrepreneurial path includes several pivotal moments: doubts, discouragement, liquidity issues, rapid growth, business transfer or the need for strategic reorientation. Being present at these moments, with listening, empathy and pragmatism, remains at the heart of our mission.” – David Dupont, President of CAEHYR
Above and beyond the financial results, this growth testifies above all to the region’s entrepreneurial dynamism and the willingness of developers to continue investing in their projects.
“In a climate of rapid change and new business challenges, our region’s entrepreneurs have once again demonstrated their resilience, creativity and ability to adapt. Behind every project, every financing and every success, there are above all passionate human beings who dare to move forward, innovate and build the future of our territory.” – Isabelle Brochu, CAEHYR General Manager
Le Bistro M: an example of successful entrepreneurship
Under the banner of entrepreneurship, co-owners Alexandre Labrie and Joxanne Vigneault proceeded this year with the purchase of Bistro M. Accompanied by Danie Hallé, CAEHYR business advisor, the two entrepreneurs obtained financing covering the entire project through the CAE Fund, enabling them to proceed with the purchase of the seller’s shares. Since the acquisition, they have continued to expand this unique location at the Bromont airport, adding their own distinctive touch.
“The first thing I’d recommend to a buyer is to seek guidance from an institution like CAEHYR. It’s very important, because together, it’s much easier to carry out a project of this magnitude, whatever the type of business.” – Alexandre Labrie, co-owner of Bistro M
