Pierre Côté
With 45 years' experience in direct customer service, including over 35 years as an entrepreneur, my career has been marked by management, entrepreneurship and human development.
I began my career at McDonald's, a veritable management school. Managing at the age of 22, while pursuing part-time university studies, with 85 employees under my responsibility, my team and I achieved AAA, the chain's highest distinction for quality, service and cleanliness.
I then broadened my experience in the financial sector with Desjardins, before returning to entrepreneurship as a Van Houtte franchisee. With my team, I operated two bistros and was awarded the Cappuccino d'Or for the best franchisee in the chain.
I then founded a Hypotheca office in Granby, where I worked for 21 years in residential mortgage financing. There, I built up a solid, committed team that is now taking over from me.
Why did I become an entrepreneur or manager?
Depending on the speed or decisions of an employer is not me. I'm an autonomous person, driven by the desire to move forward at my own pace and remain in control of my decisions. I like to build, adjust, learn and evolve, both professionally and personally.
Why am I a mentor?
I feel a deep need to give back. I've learned a lot from my successes, but also from my mistakes.
I'm convinced that the key to sustainable success lies in people: self-knowledge, balance, the ability to surround oneself and respect one's limits, and I sincerely believe that mentoring is a formidable lever for growth.
The values that guide me
Respect for the individual's career path, authenticity and benevolence, development of potential and autonomy
I encourage exchanges in a climate of trust, where mentor and mentee learn and grow together.
My passions & interests
Travel, skiing, hiking, good food, good company and meaningful conversation.
