France Bouthillette

A nurse for ten years, I switched to sales in 1987. I opened a perfumery and chocolate shop in Granby. Self-taught in this field, I took advantage of various training courses offered by regional organizations and by my suppliers, and I nourished my training on an ongoing basis with a great deal of reading. Sales and representation became a real passion. In 1997, I became a sales representative at Télé media for the Granby region. To better integrate into the world of radio, broadcasting and the web, and to fulfill my ambitions, I took a certificate in communications and marketing at TÉLUQ University. From local representative with Télé Media to regional representative with Astral, I ended my career as sales manager for Bell Media Estrie.

Why did I become an entrepreneur or manager?

A leitmotiv has helped me to meet every challenge positively: "If man has two ears and one mouth, it is to listen twice as much as he speaks" Confucius
Following a restructuring at Bell Media, I decided to take on new challenges. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. In 2016, with my partner, I acquired a small farm. I grew organic garlic and processed it. The physical work really helped me refocus and enjoy every encounter. Growing would become a passion that I combined with marketing. My experience in sales and marketing led me to create my "NaturOchamp" brand, which has been and still is a success in the region with various processing products. During these six years, I became involved in my community. Together with other farmers, I founded the Coopérative Val-Horizon. Our aim was to help producers market their products and promote them to the people of Val-Saint-François.

Why am I a mentor?

It will be a great privilege for me to contribute to the growth of entrepreneurs by listening to them with kindness and empathy, and helping them take their businesses to the next level.

The values that guide me

I'm a positive, cheerful person who knows how to facilitate communication. Through my various professional experiences, I've come to realize that it's normal to have questions and doubts, and how listening to another person and sharing their experience can help us find solutions on our own.

My passions & interests

I love gastronomy and everything that surrounds it. I love discovering producers and their products so that I can incorporate them into my cooking. What's more, each of my trips is accompanied by recipe books from the country I'm visiting. Music, walking, cycling and yoga are all part of my daily routine.
